	How can I get involved?
	You can support us financially in one of two ways by donating or investing
	Donating… • A six week programme requiring only 15kg of Valid Nutrition’s ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF) provides all the nutrients necessary to allow a child to recover from severe acute malnutrition, enabling them to develop properly and to achieve their full potential. Valid Nutrition can provide this quantity of RUTF for just €50. • Every donation received by Valid Nutrition (VN) will be used entirely to help lower the cost of providing VN’s RUTF to local NGOs and African-based charities, thereby enabling greater numbers of vulnerable children to gain access to this live-saving food – this is our promise to you.

	Investing… • Valid Nutrition strongly believes, especially against the background of the current world economic climate, that the development of a highly competitive company, based on the business model, following best business practice but established on a not-for-profit basis, is the most effective way to extend access to life saving nutritional products to all those affected by malnutrition. Central to achieving this goal is the generation of sufficient profit and cash to fund expansion into new countries and markets and cover product research and development programmes. All revenue generated by VN’s commercial activities is fully reinvested into these aims and the company’s not for profit structure and articles of association preclude any payment of dividends. • Investments take the form of repayable loans to Valid Nutrition of not less than €10,000 and will be spent in furthering the growth of the business in the countries in which we operate and in expanding into other territories – either in supporting the local businesses in capital investment or working capital, in Research and Development of new products, or in funding our expansion activities into new territories. • Valid Nutrition will formalise and repay your original investment within an agreed period. So, you get all of your investment back and, the interest you might otherwise have earned on that money will become your net contribution to a social enterprise whose foods have helped save the lives of thousands of children in Malawi in the last two years alone and could help save the lives of many thousands of children in Africa in the future. • Please click on the INVEST button above if you would like to find out more about investing in Valid Nutrition’s humanitarian activities
	Other ways to help As well as financial support, we are very interested in taking up other offers of help. Currently, we are particularly looking for assistance with the following: • Securing working capital from investors, to scale up production and meet demand, without taking bank loans. If you know of an individual or organisation that may be interested in investing in Valid Nutrition’s humanitarian work, please ask them to contact us and we can provide details to them on request. • Promoting the concept of social enterprise to inspire others to take similar actions in their areas of expertise. You could do this by simply sending an email to your friends to tell them about this concept. • If you are a journalist, you may wish to contact us for a current press pack, or interview opportunities.
